The City of Spring Lake Park is seeking a motivated and community-minded individual to join our team as a Housing/Code Enforcement Inspector. This position performs skilled technical and administrative work enforcing City codes related to property maintenance, housing, and nuisances. The Inspector conducts inspections of residential and commercial properties, investigates complaints, prepares reports, and works directly with property owners, landlords, and tenants to achieve compliance and improve neighborhood conditions.

Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED and one year of experience in housing, property maintenance, or code enforcement inspection work, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. Must possess a valid Minnesota driver’s license.

Desired Qualifications:
Certification as a Building Official Limited or the ability to obtain within one year of employment.

Pay: $33.14 – $40.73/hour (2025), plus comprehensive benefits.
