The Spring Lake Park Police Department is accepting applications for the position of “Full Time Police Officer”. The City of Spring Lake Park, population 7400, is an established residential community nestled between the cities of Fridley and Blaine with small-town charm. The Police Department has a family atmosphere with great support from the community and the City Council making it an ideal place to work. The Police Department currently consists of 12 sworn officers including the Chief of Police and two support staff members. The current process is for the addition of one police officer to the department in early 2026 and to create a list for anticipated retirements in late 2026.

The City of Spring Lake Park Police Department’s pay scale for a police officer position 2026 and 2027:
2026: $39.47 ($82,092.60) to $53.01 ($110,270.04)
2027: $41.05 ($85,376.28) to $55.14 ($114,680.88)
Lateral transfers are encouraged and will be evaluated on a case by case basis.
